A lot of people don't know that the hit 80s/90s video game Metroid originally had Bill Murray cast to play the villain "Mother Brain." Unfortunately, casting conflicts with Ghostbusters II made his appearance impossible, with the role briefly being offered to Michael Keaton before game developers ultimately settled on a little-known sentient alien Brain. Murray did manage to get into the project by way of a post-production cameo as the alien "Kraid", which was re-edited into the main game as a principal villain.
