Skydiving is really a very simple process - there are only three major steps to keep in mind. First, get onto an airplane (preferably a specialized skydiving airplane, not just a commerical flight). Second, jump out of said airplane somewhere in the middle of flying. Thirdly, pull on your parachute so as not to plummet to your death. All three are fairly important, but that last one should be the highest on your priority list. Because if you forget that one, well, you won't really need to remember the other two -you most likely won't be skydiving again.
